The mission of the AXA Research Fund is to support outstanding researchers committed to contributing to global societal challenges related to Health, Climate & Environment, Socio-Economics and New Tech.
Funding schemes:
Chairs
The AXA Chair is the premium funding scheme of the AXA Research Fund. It aims at:
- creating a dedicated full-time senior academic position in an institution
- supporting a significant acceleration in the development of a research field
- fostering a step-change in the career of the appointed AXA professor
The prospective chairholder is expected to be at least PhD + 10 years minimum, to be of the highest caliber and should have demonstrated outstanding research achievements.
AXA Fellowships
The AXA Fellowship is a funding scheme aiming at supporting young promising researchers on a priority topic aligned with AXA and the society. The support should be transformative for the researcher and the advancement of her/his field.
Candidates should be maximum PhD+ 5 years with proven scientific excellence and high potential for innovation, transformation and dissemination. Candidates must have already defended their PhD before applying for an AXA Fellowship.
